Top Six – August 11

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have shopping to do later. So there.
6 Jacob Rees-Mogg And Traditional Britain The Tory MP for North-East Somerset could have refused to speak at a dinner organised by a group headed by seasoned and singularly unsavoury racist bigots. And the information about them was easily available – as can be seen here.

5 Louise Mensch To The Rescue The former MP for Corby and East Northants, now representing the distant constituency of Manhattan Upmarket, leapt to the defence of Jacob Rees-Mogg. It didn’t work. No surprise there, then.

4 Gibraltar – What They’re Not Telling You The UK press has managed to miss one or two items concerning the current dispute between Gibraltar and Spain. Perhaps this is mere coincidence, but probably not.

3 Spain Rail Crash – What Did I Tell You? Well after the event, the authorities took action to prevent a recurrence of the derailment near Santiago de Compostela – and anywhere else on the Spanish rail network. And the all too convenient blaming of the driver for the accident began to recede.

2 Murdoch Is Served (98) Ahead of next month’s trials, I can’t tell you exactly who has been shagging whom, but it has the potential to rock rather a lot of people. And it’s all horribly complicated.

1 Daily Mail Suckered By Bigots AGAIN Another Muslim bashing story unravelled as the two “victims” turned out to be fans of the EDL and BNP.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
