While much media attention is being focused on wall to wall General Election coverage, events have been unfolding in the world of football, and yesterday’s press conference by current Inter manager José Mourinho hinted at one such.
The former Porto and Chelsea boss, and perhaps Setúbal’s most famous son, did not confirm or deny suggestions that he may not be managing Inter next season. He has always said that he would like to return to manage in the Premiership, and once the assembled hackery has seen the article and translated it, the rumour mill may very rapidly get into overdrive.
So where might he end up? Well, it would have to be a club whose manager was either jumping, or being pushed. Note that I did not use the word “retiring”. Now have a think about it.
